Start preparing from January 2026 while focusing on NEET preparation. Begin researching universities, applying for passport, and gathering documents. After NEET in April/May, immediately start the application process to secure admission for September/October 2026 intake.
The complete process takes 5-6 months: NEET in April/May → Results in May → Application & documentation in May-June → Invitation letter in July → Visa application in July-August → Travel & admission in September-October 2026.
Most universities start accepting applications from April-May 2026, right after NEET examination. However, you can start preliminary applications even before NEET results. Early application increases chances of securing seats in top universities.
MEA attestation takes 7-15 days and embassy attestation takes another 7-15 days. Total attestation process can take 2-4 weeks. Start the process in June 2026 immediately after NEET results to ensure timely completion.
Some universities have February/March intake as well. However, September is the main intake with maximum seats available. If you miss September 2026, you'll have to wait for February 2027 intake, losing 4-5 months.
Book flight tickets only after receiving visa approval, typically in August 2026. Book 2-3 weeks before university session starts (September) to get better prices and have time for settling in.
