How to Read FMGE Country-Wise Data

The average FMGE pass rate across all countries is typically around 15-20%. Countries with higher average rates generally have better quality medical education aligned with Indian medical curriculum standards. However, the variation within a country can be massive — the best university in a country may have 60%+ rate while the worst has under 5%.

Focus on the "Best University" column to find standout institutions within each country. A country with a low average but one excellent university is still worth considering — you just need to get into that specific institution.

Russia and China traditionally have the most FMGE data points due to the large number of Indian students. Georgia and Kazakhstan have been improving rapidly in recent years. Always compare the most recent year's data alongside historical averages.
