What Students Say
Nice and clean university. This school is one of the sophisticated schools located here in Cebu.
Von Lee
The Cebu Doctors' University has a lot to offer for a school that teaches med students to become what they want to be (medical related jobs). Lots of stations to go through that even have a road dedicated to the founder. Formed in 1973, it has created branches related to medical studies that direct students to become the future nurse and doctor. Pros + Passing here instantly brings glory + One of the most toughest schools on medicine + Elevator access and a small (enough) building to access rooms for students + Most rooms are air-conditioned + Can act as a hospital for patients to enter + Dedicated cafeteria + Can still access most areas of CDU if you are a student and after graduating (if you have your id) + Can explore even after 6 PM + Water drinking fountains and corners everywhere are contained with toilets + Diversity of students you meet + Freedom of expression + The building stands out that it looks like the model of a huge air-conditioner unit + Mirror Hall in front of the statue (Look up and you'll see mirrors, it has deep meaning btw) + Three gates to enter (Two on the front, one at the back) + Condo units are close enough for cheap fares + PUNKO-ANAN SA CDU (Or nearby food to chill and rest near the school or eat lunch if you go outside CDU) Cons (opinion) - Expensive - Low passing rates - Elevators break down easily - Elevator cutting strategy (The act of getting onto the elevator at the 2nd floor to cut the line when it goes to the Ground floor) - Only one cashier (Payment takes about 1-4 hours) - Near roads that robbers hang out (True story, someone got robbed in front of CDU, lost his iPhone) - P.V. Larrazabal Avenue is a bit hard to get through when clogged by cars - Some drivers (for some reason) do not accept requests if you are picking up from CDU - The back road is where robberies would most likely happen - Not learning English will be difficult in both exploring and being a student because students WILL USE English in conversations and textbooks also use English (unless it's in Filipino or other language) - Not taking an elevator leads to a grueling walk up six, seven or eight floors, which becomes common if elevator queue line becomes ridiculously long (Though the queue line does take a lot of students if both elevators arrive) - Middle 6th floor is inaccessible if there is an exam underway - If you do not understand the lesson, get told to "read" - Getting 87 or lower means no awards for you, even if you aced 99 on others - (DITO and Smart) These internet providers, despite full bars or 3, may screw up, especially in the cafeteria
